Two young boys from upstate New York were seriously injured when the bouncy castle they were playing in was lifted up into the air by a freak gust of wind. Three kids, aged 10, 6 and 5, were playing in a Little Tykes’ bounce house that had been properly staked into the ground on a grassy area outside a home in South Glen Falls, New York. When a huge gust of wind picked it up, ripped out the stakes and took the inflatable up into the air. A 10-year-old girl tumbled and injured her shoulder as the bouncy castle took to the air. But the two boys were not so lucky, the first fell onto the road from a height of around 15 feet, breaking several bones, while the second suffered a serious head injury after falling onto the back of a parked car from about 20 feet. The bouncy castle continued climbing, reaching heights of more than 100 feet before finally coming to rest in the field of a nearby school. The boys are now recovering at a local hospital.
