Weighing my 6 month old puppy

My 6 month old Rottweiler puppy Titan goes limp and smothers me with kisses when I try to pick him up! My boyfriend can't weigh him because the two of them max out the scale... looks like we'll have to go to the vet or pet store from now on for weigh ins... except he does the same thing when I try to get him in the car!
