A Day in the Peak District, England - Hiking to Bakewell, a Pretty English Town | UK Travel

We went hiking to Bakewell in the Peak District, Derbyshire - a very pretty English town! We started the day in the glorious weather outside our lovely accommodation in Sheldon, near Ashford in the Water in the Peak District. After a cooked breakfast and some fun times visiting the pigs of the farm, we headed out for ice creams in the lovely town of Ashford in the Water. From here we hiked to historic Bakewell, where we tried the famous Bakewell Pudding, and learned the difference between it and it’s better-known counterpart: the Bakewell Tart. Both are delicious, but for me I think the pudding wins out!

After a browse round the shops of the town and getting some beautiful aerial footage of Bakewell (drone shots of the Peak District are so pretty!), we headed back to the Thornbridge Brewery for some well-deserved pints and pizzas. We headed back to Manor House Farm Cottages and finished the day with a beautiful sunset.
