Around Town 8/9/17: Local Libraries
While summer is winding down, Mid-Michigan libraries have plenty things going on this week, to help your kids in the "back to school" mode. At the Capital Area District Library Holt-Delhi branch, kids ages 5-18 can make their own musical instruments from every day items. The event starts at 2 p.m. Plus, a Deconstruction Studio event will be held at the East Lansing Public Library starting at 3 p.m.You can bring old tech items to take apart in the maker studio but you have to register online. A half hour later at the Capital Area District Library Webberville branch, it's all things LEGO's. The drop in LEGO club is for ages 4 and up. Those attending will be able to play with LEGO's in ways organizers hope will will help them develop skills used for reading. If you have an event you would like to share, send us an email at aroundtown@fox47news.com.
