ARUA CITY GETS MASTER PLAN TO SPUR DEV’T

Arua city has launched her first physical Development Plan (PDP) 2022-2040.
The physical plan seeks to align the development of Arua city orderly and in accordance with the city master-plan.
After being granted a city status by an Act of parliament in 2020, boundaries of Arua city expanded to 401 square kilometers when 10.5 square kilometers of the then Arua municipality were merged with Ayi county to form the city. However, since then, the city has had no physical development plan.
Thanks to Urbanization and Industrialization Project funded by European Union that supported Arua city to achieve the current 2022-2040 PDP.
