The Horrifying Moose Attack On Robert Standerwick

For twenty-four years, Rob Standerwick lived peacefully at his Colorado home on Hummingbird Lane in the small town of Coal Creek, located in Boulder County-a close-knit community nestled in the shadow of Crescent Mountain.
He would religiously walk his dogs, Phantom and Magic, three times a day down a trail along the creek.
Following the exact same path every day without incident until one summer morning when he’d crossed paths with a moose and her calf.

Standerwick was walking along one of the trails through the greenbelt with the two dogs when he abruptly the heard the sounds of branches snapping loudly. He could not see anything ahead of him due to a hairpin bend in the road. Suddenly, as if out of nowhere, the massive mother moose emerged from an aspen grove five feet away from him…and began charging straight at him...
