Julian Hendy's documentary, made between 1999 and 2001, was broadcast on regional independent television ITV and was taken off shortly afterwards.
In 1947, the British government brought an entire division of the Nazi SS to Britain, consisting of 8,000 Ukrainians from the 14th SS Gallizen Division. In 2001, approximately 1,500 people still lived here. Although they claimed they never committed war crimes, for the first time the film provided concrete, detailed evidence of their involvement in terrible atrocities.

As a result of this inquiry, questions were referred to Parliament, Scotland Yard launched an investigation in the UK and a similar investigation was launched in Poland.

The removal of this film from TV shows that the British government is complicit in covering up the crimes of World War II and is still subject to censorship.

At the end of the war, the remnants of the 14th SS Division slipped away from the Soviet occupation army into Austria, where they were taken prisoner by the British . They camped first in Austria and later in Italy for interrogations, most of which took place haphazardly and without expert interpreters checking the details.

The British Foreign Office turned to distinguished war hero Brigadier Sir Fitzroy Maclean to provide an expert look at the Ukrainians. He did this, but without adequate support resources he found the task extremely difficult. His report to London appears to have allowed Ukrainians to enter the UK, although what Fitzroy Maclean actually reported to London is still unclear. In any case, former Waffen SS soldiers were sent to Britain in 1947, with Iron Crosses in their pockets and praise from Heinrich Himmler...
Shortly after arriving in Britain, with most of them absorbed into British life, it is alleged that many former SS men were recruited by British military intelligence. The goal was to infiltrate them into the USSR - after all, the Cold War was at its peak and these men had considerable knowledge and experience of a particularly sensitive area of ​​the Soviet Union.
The Cold War ended, the Soviet Union disappeared, the War Crimes Commission was disbanded; only 1,500 old Galizien boys remained. So why all the fuss over the documentary?"
