Foreign secretary James Cleverly said disengaging with China is "not credible", as he refused to discuss whether he knew that a parliamentary researcher was arrested in March on suspicion of spying for China when he visited the country recently.

Mr Cleverly discussed the aid effort in Libya, the situation in Iran and the war in Ukraine on Sunday Morning with Trevor Phillips.
