Haven't Trained Back in 8 YEARS!

I don't think my back is super impressive but considering I haven't been able to do any direct back work in 8 years I'm pretty happy with the condition. Honestly, I'm surprised the way my upper body has responded to just going ballistic on arms. I wouldn't have thought I would see this kind of growth in the rest of my upper body. So, if you're skeptical or confused I don't blame you. Again, I'm not here thinking my physique is super amazing, but given my circumstances and limitations I feel proud of what I've produced. To give some context, my arm training is utterly absurd compared to regular standards. Split is Arms-Arms-Legs, so frequency is through the roof, doing insane demonic drop sets, heavy weights, varying tempos, attacking every session with a vengeance. When you push it to this extreme, some of the other upper body muscles that would act as stabilizers during arm training - get significant stimulation. Especially, during the overhead dbell triceps extensions. If you do this movement with scooped elbows, dropped shoulders, and a deep stretch - you are getting significant activation of the lats, chest, and even some delt work. Also the standing barbell biceps curls done with shoulders pinned back absolutely fries the rear delts. Lastly, add in sets of jumping lunges on leg day with the 55lb dumbbells (110lbs total) and I think that does some work for the back as a whole. Overall, I'm just a regular guy who loves training. I'm taking my circumstances as is and doing what I can every day. So, I hope that what you take from this is not the end result - my physique - but the process behind it. If I can build my body up and make gains with severe limitations then what is really stopping you? How significant is that excuse that's holding you back? Is it really stopping you? Invest in the daily process of doing what you can and become hard to kill - eventually who knows what will unfold....4 years ago when I started getting back into training all I did was a couple sets of bodyweight skull crushers. I could never have imagined things would build up to this, where I'm at now. Wasn't a long term vision, motivation, or anything like that. Just a desire to train.
