【大原野神社／Oharano Shrine】別称「京春日」春日大社、第一の御分社
延暦3（７８４）年、桓武帝の長岡京遷都の際、
藤原氏の氏神である奈良春日大社の神々を
この地に最初に祀られたころより「京春日」といわれています。
It has been called ``Kyo Kasuga'' since 784 AD, when Emperor Kanmu moved the capital to Nagaokakyo and the gods of Nara Kasuga Taisha Shrine, the guardian deity of the Fujiwara clan, were first enshrined here.
春日大社は平城京の東、古来より神山と崇められる御蓋山（みかさやま）の西麓に神護景雲2（768）年に鎮座し、政権を担う藤原氏にとってはまさに王城鎮護、国家鎮護の社でありました。かたや大原野神社は長岡京の西、小塩山の東麓に鎮座し、平安京遷都後も二十二社（にじゅうにしゃ・常に朝廷の殊遇を受けた社で、国家に重大事や天変地異のあるごとに使を遣わされて奉幣を受けた二十二の神社）に列し国家鎮護の社とされました。
