Space Shuttle floating in Space going to Touch on Moon

It's fascinating to think about a space shuttle floating in space. Space shuttles, like the ones used by NASA in the past, were designed to operate in the Earth's atmosphere and in the vacuum of space. When in space, shuttles don't experience the same gravitational forces as they do on Earth, so they appear to float.
In reality, though, the space shuttle is actually in a state of freefall around the Earth. It's constantly falling towards the Earth due to gravity, but its forward velocity keeps it in orbit, creating the sensation of weightlessness. This is similar to how astronauts aboard the International Space Station experience weightlessness.
The space shuttle's ability to float in space is due to its orbital velocity....
