Dr. Efem Ubi is a Nigerian academic. He is the Acting Director of the Research Department at the Nigerian Institute of International Affairs and presents in this talk the security challenges Nigeria and Subsaharan Africa are facing today. He is especially critical about the Western narrative that only China is trying to trap China in foreign dept. Europe and America have for centuries been trapping Africans, first literally then figuratively, and have been using neo-colonial strategies to keep the entire continent de-industrialized and dependent.
