“Excuse me, what am I a believer of?”
“You are a believer of Source, of course.” I said, to the visitor.
“And what is Source exactly?”
“It’s the Infinite Intelligence that is found in all things known and unknown.”
“That sounds complicated.”
“It is! That’s why it’s best to just get out of the way.”
“How’s that?”
“You let Source flow THROUGH you, instead of fighting against it.”
“How do I do that?”
“Let me ask you, have you ever had an emotional exchange of text messages?”
“Yes, of course, everyone has.”
“Right, well, let’s say, instead of never checking that thread of messages again, you were to use it, and build a story around it?”
“You mean, cut and paste my text messages?”
“Instead of doing that—imagine if you could relive the situation, and live it the best way possible. Could you do that?”
“I suppose I could, but it’s not real.”
“Not right now. But it’s a seed. And Source knows how to germinate seeds from the imagination.”
“Prove it to me.”
“When you were a baby how did you learn to walk?”
“I just did.”
“But you were wobbly at first and probably got frustrated but you did it anyway, right?”
“That’s right.”
“And now look at you. Walking comes to you like second nature. You don’t even think about it for a second in time. You just walk, right?”
“What’s the point?”
“You did the same thing with language, and now I’m asking you to do the same thing with your imagination in terms of rewriting your painful past into something that loves and serves you. You may be frustrated with the process at first, but I can promise you, the end result is better than walking.”
“Are you saying this can teach me to fly?”
“Either that, or you’ll walk on water. Both seem like good options, right?”
“I suppose you have a point.”
“That’s great. Just know, I do this every day, so I wouldn’t make this promise if it weren’t already happening for me.”
“Wait a minute thought—aren’t you homeless and poor?”
“That was the old story. The new one I’m writing, is the opposite.”
“And how’s that working out for you?”
“It’s one subscriber at a time.” I said.
