Carnivore - Just a diet or a lifestyle? Part II - HOW DO I START THE CARNIVORE DIET?

In this video I show you a step by step checklist to start the carnivore diet and navigate a 30 day initial adaptation period by doing nothing more than eating until you can't eat anymore.

Here are the steps I explain in this video:

1. Just concentrate on WHAT you eat. Animal products and associated fats only. Bacon, butter, eggs, and fatty beef should be prioritized. No plant foods including grains or seed (vegetable) oils at all. High fat dairy like full fat cheeses or heavy cream are ok if you tolerate them. Best to leave them out for the first 30 days though.
2. Take steps to make your environment carnivore ready.
3. Stock up on the foods you have decided to eat AND MAKE SURE YOU ALWAYS HAVE IT ON HAND.
4. Make sure you strive for a 50-50 ratio of fat to protein.
5. Decide how you will prepare these foods that is do able and delicious.
6. Don't even think about intermittent fasting or exercise yet.
7. Learn to recognize the onset of cravings and have some food cooked and ready to eat at all times.
8. Follow you own body's lead, eat when hungry or when you experience any cravings, stop when it stops tasting delicious. If you still fell hungry, eat more. If you even think you're hungry, EAT!
9. Supplement with electrolytes only and drink water, black coffee or tea when thirsty only.
10. This first 30 days is only an adaptation period.
11. DO NOT think you can make "carnivore or keto" versions of foods you are addicted to. Bad idea! This includes drinks as well.

I have many rules and suggestions that will apply to sustaining carnivore AFTER the adaptation phase. Don't worry about that for now. Keep it simple!

1. You may not feel good, have wild bathroom adventures, gain a few pounds or lose a few pounds (best to stay off the scale).
2. Know and accept the fact that it will get easier and in a short time. An amazing transformation is starting to occur down in you basic cellular biology as you adapt to a new life of being fat adapted, the state our machinery evolved to best be in.
3. Stay strong!
4. Eventually you will not be an addicted slave to food, but a human animal experiencing food freedom for the first time in your life!
