Griswold: California's Trans Custody Bill Is Classic Emotional Blackmail

"It's emotional blackmail," Federalist Editorial Director Kylee Griswold said of a recently passed California bill that would allow courts to consider "gender affirmation" in child custody cases, meaning parents who guide their children away from transgender confusion could lose legal rights to them. "Of course this passed on a party-line vote. This is straight out of the Democrats' playbook. And it's exactly the same kind of emotional blackmail that they weaponize for other kinds of transgender treatments. A child wants to get puberty blockers or a surgery, and they pull the suicide card: 'Well would you rather have a live son or a dead daughter?' It's exactly the same emotional blackmail here in California."
