While video evidence from 2019 shows Nancy Pelosi clearly stating that a House vote wasn't required to initiate an impeachment inquiry against President Trump, in a recent interview, she dismisses those who refer to her words as 'ridiculous' and calls it 'hogwash.'

This comes after current House Speaker Kevin McCarthy cited Pelosi's past impeachment inquiry when making his decision to open a formal impeachment inquiry against Joe Biden.
