Mummified corpses, reportedly of non-human origin, have been displayed to Mexican politicians at the country’s Congress. The hearing, which took place on Wednesday, included testimony under oath from journalist and ufologist Jaime Maussan, who claims the mummified specimens are ‘not part of our terrestrial evolution.’

The corpses were reportedly not the result of an extraterrestrial crash-site retrieval, Maussan pointed out, rather they were unearthed in the city of Cusco, Peru, and were estimated to be 1,000 years old.

According to Maussan’s testimony, the mummies had been studied by researchers at the Autonomous National University of Mexico (UNAM), who drew DNA evidence via radiocarbon dating. The team found that over 30% of the mummies’ DNA was ‘unknown.’ Furthermore, x-rays carried out on the corpses show objects believed to be ‘eggs,’ possibly calcified over time, inside, along with ‘implants’ made from osmium and other rare metals, most notably in the breastbone.

Congress representatives said the information had left them with ‘thoughts’ and ‘concerns’ and that they were keen to ‘continue talking about this.’
