Latest Airport Threat Raises More Questions About Airport Security
Recent reports by Australian security services that they foiled a planned explosive attack against the Sydney airport, one of the busiest in the world. The would be attackers were arrested by authorities in the country's capital.
The revelation underscores that western nations continue to face significant threats from within and also that the enemy continues to prioritize major transportation hubs as targets.
As is the case in the aftermath of learning of such a plan, international travelers will likely see increase security measures.
With security already tight and recent reports suggesting that TSA in the U.S. has missed many signs over the last year, to what lengths must we go to ensure we are fully protected? And with the enemy ever evolving to counter, will full protection ever be possible?
