These are Tips for Optimal Cleansing:

It really helps to prepare for at least the week before by giving up more acid forming foods, especially animal protein, alcohol and caffeine (to avoid possible big headache) and alkalizing with more fresh organic fruits and vegetables, and juices.

It is important to read the Cleanse Guide well before you begin. You will receive a hard copy with your products and you can also download it on our website https://www.ariseandshine.com/ at the bottom of the homepage by clicking on Download Cleanse Guide.

These are important TIPS to remember (all in the Guide):
Eat 100% alkaline foods!
Eat about 20% cooked foods and 80% raw foods.
NO SALT: no iodized, sea, Himalayan or Celtic salt.
No soy sauce, miso or liquid amino.
Use an herbal salt free seasoning or celery seed for a salt substitute.
Drink a MINIMUM of 30-40 oz. of fresh organic vegetable juice and/or Alkalizing Vegetable Mineral Broth every day. (See recipe on pg. 11 of Cleanse Guide.)
Drink LOTS of WATER. (about 8 oz. per every 10 lbs. body weight, more in warmer weather.)
For a quick snack, try vegetable mineral broth or a piece of fruit.
Be sure to have 3 to 5 Bowel Movements per day.

Note: Common cleansing reactions may include constipation, diarrhea, nausea, headache, weakness or lightheadedness. If you are cleansing and experience any of these reactions, call our friendly Cleanse Support line at (360) 841-7106, or email Support@ariseandshine.com. We are open Monday – Friday 9:30 – 4:30 PST. Please also reread pages 16-17 of the Cleanse Guide.

Here is my version of Alkalizing Veggie Mineral Broth. I love the way it tastes:

4 ½ quarts clean water in large pot
Cut up and add:
4 Russet Potatoes
1 Jewel Yam
1 LARGE handful Rainbow Chard
5-6 sticks celery
1 tomato
Cayenne to taste
A little (don’t over season) salt free herbal seasoning (I like Bragg Sea Kelp Delight.)
Bring to boil, turn down and simmer for 20 minutes.
Take off heat, let cool.
Strain liquid Broth into 4 quart jars.
Compost the veggies. (They are depleted.)

I drink this warm or cool. It’s great to drink a big glass full and then kick back for a few minutes and pay attention to how it makes your body feel. It’s very alkalizing! I drink a quart of this each day (at least), and about a quart of fresh organic juice.

You can find the recipe for Alkalizing Vegetable Mineral Broth in the Cleanse Guide on page 11.

My favorite juice is something like:

1 beet
8 carrots
8-10 celery sticks
1-2 Fuji Apples
1 inch ginger

My favorite green smoothie is something like:

Add to blender or VitaMix:
1-2 cups water
2 large handfuls of baby kale, chard, spinach mix
1 banana
1 apple
1 handful mixed berries
1 handful blueberries
1 Tablespoon chia seeds (soaked overnight)
1 scoop (about 1 heaping Tablespoon) deep green powder, spirulina, chlorella, or a blend
Blend well!
For some people this may be too much sugars. It’s important to eat what’s right for your body.
