Kemp: “Today I signed an EO suspending the state gas tax, because hardworking Georgians deserve real relief from the disastrous effects of Bidenomics…. Speaking of smoke screens. Why is he doing this? You have been paying 3.57 for gas for a while. FACT: He is feeling the heat because of Fani Willis. Him and others being complicit workthing with Fani Willis and not finding anything to say against Fani Willis and the pressure being put on him to remove Fani Willis. This is a set up. GA gas tax is about 29 cents. He can only take it off the vendor but the gas station has to take it off the marque. The gas station won’t be required to pass the savings to the consumer. He wants to box the base.
Last year we had $6.6 billion in surplus. Still in the money: GA government will pocket another $5 billion budget surplus. Government should not have a surplus. Every dollar they have is someone’s money.
US incomes have fallen for a third straight year. Surging inflation is blamed for median household income falling to 74580 in 2022, down 2.3% from 2021. Poverty increased in 2022 as wages fell and inflation rose.
It looks like you can cut the gas tax altogether. It looks like you could make a law that will require the gas stations passing the savings on to the consumer. Several years ago the largest tax increase was in gas tax.
If you care, then protect our kids. There have been groups that have pushed to remove these pornographic books from our school libraries. They don’t want parents to have to have control over the library. AS Kemp attacks Trump for opening GA up after the pandemic. And giving away tax abatements. How much do you have to give away before you protect our kids? The libraries in the schools are exempt from the state obscenities law.
