The Dome of the Rock, Arabic Qubbat al-Ṣakhrah, is a Jerusalem shrine built by the Umayyad caliph ʿAbd al-Malik ibn Marwān in the late 7th century CE. It is the oldest extant Islamic monument.

The Islamic Jinn Baphomet appeared on one of the marble slabs attached to the Dome Of The Rock. The images of Baphomet were not on the original marble slabs but appeared sometime after its construction and remain to this day.
