One of the great chapters in God's Word is the 15th chapter of Corinthians. we are in the season of the year known as the Lenten season. Next Sunday I believe will be the Sunday they refer to as Palm Sunday, and the Sunday after that of course will be Easter.

The whole great fulcrum of truth of Christianity is resident within the resurrection of the Lord Jesus Christ. With the resurrection of the Lord Jesus Christ came that which became available to the church of the body to which you and I belong. And this is why all people have through the centuries objected to the resurrection. They did at the time of the resurrection of Christ, they did on the day of Pentecost and they're still objecting to it. Well all objections are overruled [laughs] because I speak in tongues, you do; and no one can speak in tongues except he's born again of God's spirit. And to be born-again of God's spirit it has to be available and it couldn't be available had God not raised him from the dead. So when you put all of these great truths together you and I belong to a ministry and to a church of the body that is simply electrifying and dynamic.

This 15th chapter of Corinthians has been misunderstood for years. I'm trying to recall even at this moment whether we've ever done a piece of work in writing that has all of this in it, but if we have the bookstore can tell you about it. All I know is I got a bible in my hand and it's still the same Word of God tonight as it was any other time I've taught it or when I wrote it. I'm going to give you the great accuracy even in words that are different at places than what you find in the King James so you perhaps will want to make some notes as we go through because this 15th chapter just sits like a diamond in the Word of God.

And I would like to open this on this occasion with you because of the things that have been in my heart and mind this week as well as the things of the future and that is with Easter coming.

Moreover brethren [verse 1] I [make known] unto you the gospel which I preached unto you, which ye have received [also] and wherein [or in which] ye stand [also].

By the way, this little word 'also' - the four-letter word 'also' is many times at the wrong place in translations. Within a few weeks we will do a reprint of a booklet that I gave to the Corps a couple of years ago on just this one word 'also.' It was originally done by EW Bullinger and it's been out of print for years and years and years and we have reissued it and it will be available I guess to the whole ministry. They didn't tell me, but I assume it will be. If it isn't, you just write to me and I'll see you get one anyways, how's that? But just take the word 'also.' I make my Corps write the word also in its proper place throughout the entire Word. It's that important. Now here the word 'also' comes after the word 'received.' "Which ye have received also;" not which also ye have received, and "in which ye stand also;"

By which ye are saved also, verse two: when you hold forth in memory what I preached unto you.

In verse 12 the preaching is that Christ rose from the dead. This is what he is beginning to say here in verse 2. To hold forth in your memory what I preached unto you, except ye believed to no purpose. In other words, if you do not hold these things in memory and the truth of that which was preached there would really be no purpose.

The first thing that he delivered because the first great truth of the new birth has to be the resurrection. Because without the resurrection there can be no new birth.

[3b] how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures;
[4] And that he was buried, and that he [has been raised] the third day according to the scriptures:
[5] And that he was seen by Cephas then of the twelve:
[6] After that, he was seen of more than 500 brethren at once; of whom the greater part remain [until now], but some are fallen asleep.
[7] After that he was seen of James; then of all the apostles.
[8] And last of all he was seen of me [as if it were] one born out of due time.
[9] For I am the least of the apostles, that am not meet to be called an apostle, because I persecuted the church
[10] But by the grace of God I am what I am:
