The Ukrainian Army has recently been achieving great successes on the front line. Ukraine has announced that it has reclaimed 4.8 square kilometers of territory on the Tavriia front in the south of the country over the past week.
Ukrainian Deputy Defense Minister Hanna Maliar announced this progress on Telegram, noting that the offensive on the Melitopol front is continuing. In particular, progress was reported south of the settlement of Robotyne and west of the village of Verbove.
Maliar also stated that the Tavriya Operational and Strategic Forces Group recaptured a total area of 256.5 square kilometers.
In addition, Maliar reported that the Ukrainian Armed Forces also achieved some successes on the Bakhmut front near Klishchiivka and Andriivka. Last week, Ukrainian forces recaptured 2 square kilometers of territory on this front. Maliar said that the Ukrainian Defense Forces drove Russian forces out of positions near Klishchiivka and Andriivka on the Bakhmut front and that Ukrainian forces "made certain advances."
Maliar also said that 49 square kilometers of territory near Bakhmut was recaptured during the counteroffensive. "During last week's offensive actions, we achieved successes south of Robotyne and west of Verbove," he said, noting that on the southern front Ukrainian troops successfully advanced last week near Robotyne and Verbove. He also said that Ukrainian troops are facing serious obstacles from the Russian side, but in some areas the Ukrainians have overcome the Russian "first line of defense" and the Ukrainian Army continues to advance.
