The differences between a falsely empowered codependent and a narcissist are awareness, addiction, and consistency. One is predominantly addicted. The other is rarely addicted. We have a very skewed reality about what addiction is. So most people are labeling someone who is a falsely empowered codependent as a narcissist, yet they have all of these addictions present.
