I got two GoPro Hero 9 cameras today, and put them on the mountain bike. It took about two hours to charge them & set them up, but when it was all done, I went out to do my usual eight mile loop. Wouldn't you know it, there was a train that stopped dead on the tracks right in the middle of my ride, so I had to double back and take another way home.
I got two cameras and mounted then facing forward & rearward, but the rearward camera was too close to the back tire and that's pretty much all it recorded, so I had to dump that footage, and I'll try it with the camera remounted.
The GoPro is much easier to download from, and it works with both Windows & Mac, which is important because I use a Mac Mini for my video editing.
I like the automatic horizon & stabilization in the Hero 9, too. The camera I was using previously didn't have any of that.
The audio on these things is awesome, but you don't really want to hear street sounds as I rode past stuff, so I set it to the music on my MP3 player while I rode.
