DEBT FOR CLIMATE MOVEMENT

Climate activists within the Debt for Climate Movement are raising concerns about the actions of multilateral lenders like the World Bank and the International Monetary Fund, accusing them of perpetuating what they call "Colonialism 2.0", a new form of financial imperialism.
They argue that these lenders' financial policies have pushed many Global South countries into debt distress, hampering their ability to address pressing challenges such as climate change.
