Annular cutters provide a far superior finish compared to twist drill bits or hole saws. Annular cutters tested for cutting speed and durability on aluminum, mild, medium (4140), hard (spring steel) and very hard steel (AR500). For large hole sizes, annular cutters also drill much faster than using incremental twist drill size increases to achieve a hole of the same diameter. Compared to hole saw, a high quality annular cutter offers a higher quality outcome and finish.
