Gunmen open fire at Mexico border crossing, wounding Americans

A band of armed assailants launched an assault on a convoy of vehicles making its way from the United States into Mexico, resulting in injuries to three individuals, including some American citizens.

The Associated Press (AP) conveyed that this attack took place on a Saturday, unfolding on the bridge that links the town of Miguel Aleman to Roma, Texas, as detailed by the Tamaulipas state security department.

Initially, the department had reported nine casualties, but subsequent updates confirmed that three individuals sustained gunshot wounds, while an additional six experienced panic attacks, as reported by the AP.

A state official, speaking anonymously to the AP, revealed that the injured encompassed both Mexicans and Mexican Americans, The Hill reported.
