Chile coup anniversary: 50 years since Augusto Pinochet took power

A number of people have been injured in protests in Chile's capital leading up to the 50th anniversary of the coup that brought General Augusto Pinochet to power.
His military rule lasted almost 17 years, which saw thousands killed, tortured and forced into exile.
