Hurry: The Great Enemy of Spiritual Life. Excerpts from “The Ruthless Elimination of Hurry” by John Mark Comer.

Philosopher and teacher of Jesus Dallas Willard was once asked, “What do I need to do to become the me I want to be?”
There was a long silence…
“You must ruthlessly eliminate hurry from your life.”
“Can we just stop for a minute and agree, that’s brilliant?”
“Okay, what else?” they ask with angst.
Yet another long silence…
“There is nothing else. Hurry is the great enemy of spiritual life in our day. You must ruthlessly eliminate hurry from your life.”
