UEFA president rules out Saudi Clubs.

Aleksander Čeferin, the president of UEFA, recently made a bold statement which could have a huge impact on the Saudi Pro League.

He ruled out the possibility of Saudi clubs participating in European competitions like the UEFA Champions League.

He asserted that Saudi clubs will never play in the UEFA Champions League or any other European competition.

Only European clubs can compete in the Champions League, Europa League and conference league.

Čeferin seemed unconcerned about the financial might of the Saudi clubs, drawing a resemblance to the Chinese approach to football.

He states that Saudi is not a threat. We saw a similar approach in China, where they bought players at the end of their careers by offering them a lot of money.

Chinese football didn't develop, and they didn't qualify for the world cup. The right approach would be to work on player and coach development.
