When the Jew came to faith in Jesus some were quicker to coming to understand that they were no longer under food restrictions. And no longer needed to esteem some days above others. And having realized this before some of their fellow believing Jews some began to condemn those who had not yet come to understand this. So Paul used this portion of his epistle to the Romans to explain that these things are not issues that should be considered evidences for or against salvation.
