Man Who Pulled Out a BB Gun On Cops

The Carson Sheriff Station received a 911 call about a disturbance at a gas station involving a man, Arturo Cernas, who was acting aggressively. Deputies arrived at the scene and repeatedly instructed Cernas not to reach for anything. Despite their warnings, Cernas reached into his pocket and backpack, grabbing what appeared to be a pistol. In response, one deputy fired a less lethal foam projectile, and another discharged his service weapon almost simultaneously. Unfortunately, Cernas was pronounced deceased at the scene. Later investigation revealed that the weapon he had was a CO2 BB pistol that resembled a real firearm.
