Mercy Requires Us Sometimes to Give Fraternal Correction - September 10, 2023 - OLC Sunday Homily

Fr Jacinto M. Chapin gives the homily at Our Lady's chapel, New Bedford, MA, for the Twenty-third Sunday in Ordinary Time, explaining the lesson on fraternal correction contained in today's Scripture readings. While the wise welcome correction, in many of us, pride resists correction, making fraternal correction one of the most difficult of the spiritual works of mercy to perform (admonish the sinner).
Father offers instruction on how we should prepare ourselves to carry out this delicate and daunting work of charity and mercy.
