The biggest hurdle is that anyone can file a report, to CPS, the police or elsewhere, IN GOOD FAITH. This means they do NOT have to be right, they do not have to have evidence, they merely have an HONEST suspicion of wrongdoing. If someone is filing a claim in this manner, even if it’s completely incorrect, it’s still perfectly legal to do.
