NT Framework 16 Implications of the Hypostatic Union

SBC Family Near and Far,

We will be getting back on track tomorrow! It's very important for Christians to have a continual steady diet of sound Bible teaching. Otherwise, you begin to slip toward the world, the flesh, and the devil. We are able to divide those three categories up according to Scripture, but in reality they all blend together into a complicated world system that can be very alluring. The only way to avoid that is to stay in the word. You remember the four soils in Mt 13? Three of those soils were unproductive. Only one was productive. The first one was influenced by Satan and never received the gospel. The second one received the gospel but was influenced by the world. The third one received the gospel but was influenced by the flesh. Only the fourth soil received the gospel and went on to productivity. Three were believers, but only one led a productive life. How would you like your whole life to be lived as a Christian and be totally unproductive, a waste? What I'm teaching you and if you study it as a Berean, and grow in it, it will change your life and make you a productive Christian. Your life won't be a waste. It will be valuable, and this will be reflected in eternal rewards.

Tomorrow, implications of the hypostatic union. What I'll do is review some of the things we've been looking at, like the deity of Christ, the two streams of revelation in the OT about God and man coming together in one person, and then look at these implications. This is background for Trinity, which we'll discuss the next Sunday. It will be fun because there are some very interesting implications of the hypostatic union and Trinity for language and logic. Hopefully, I'll be able to explain and you'll be able to understand.
