Bald eagle

The bald eagle (Haliaeetus leucocephalus) is a well-known bird species and the national bird and symbol of the United States. It is a large bird of prey native to North America. Bald eagles are known for their impressive size, with a wingspan that can reach up to seven feet (2.1 meters) and a body length of around three feet (0.9 meters). They have a distinctive white head and tail, with a dark brown body. Bald eagles are known for their powerful flight and keen eyesight, which allows them to spot fish from high above and then swoop down to catch them.
