"Lucky Dog" Backpacking Fishing Adventure - Catch and Cook

MEET OLLIE, MY TRUSTY BACKPACKING DOG. A LOYAL COMPANION ON EXHILARATING ALPINE HIKING ADVENTURES. DISCOVER THE REMARKABLE STORY OF HOW OLLIE CAME INTO MY LIFE OF OUTDOOR ADVENTURE. EXPLORING WITH FRIENDS, WE HAVE FISHING ESCAPADES ACROSS 6 LAKES. TOGETHER, WE CATCH BIG BROOK AND COLORFUL CUTTHROAT TROUT & COOK A FEW TASTY FISH AT OUR CAMP.

Ollie and I begin this 7 day hike through the untamed wilderness alone. Tomorrow, we'll rendezvous with two special backpacker fishermen at the initial lake camping site. It takes us 2 days to reach this remote lake, owing to pack weight and elevation changes. We traverse a beautiful forest, arriving at a pristine 5 star lake, where we set up our ultralight backpack tent. As an avid fisherman and with hunger as my companion, I cast for fat brookies, catching many but reserving only one for lunch. Employing my preferred deep-fry cooking technique, I prepare a mouthwatering meal.

Come early evening, our esteemed guests, Jeff and Jack, emerge from the woods, eliciting palpable excitement from Ollie. They're a father-son duo, reuniting with us around the crackling campfire, we share laughter and recount the astounding events that led to the discovery of the lost puppy Ollie.

Over the ensuing 4 days, we hook some huge pigs, even achieving a personal best. Our evenings are graced with fluffy beer batter and tempura fish fry dinners, eating these are a fitting reward for the day's fruitful endeavors.
