Ongoing Situation in Chitral Pakistan | Ali Explains

Despite Afghan authorities consistently verbally denying the presence of TTP within Afghanistan, the actual situation appears to be quite the opposite.

These Khaw'arij operate their training facilities on Afghan soil, where a substantial number of Afghan citizens are training for purposes aimed at Pakistan.

It is important to note that these facilities, as well as the TTP itself, receive full support from the Afghan Taliban. Furthermore, the Afghan Taliban has granted the TTP unrestricted access to the weapons and equipment abandoned by the United States in Afghanistan.

Haji Abd al-Hadi, hailing from the Laghman district of Chanchad Pul, who supplied these weapons to the TTP, is the sibling of the Afghan Deputy Minister of Minerals.

The TTP centers in Khost and Kunar also operate under the auspices of the Afghan Taliban. This raises the question of whether the Afghan Taliban and the TTP are conducting organized operations against Pakistan.

On one front, the TTP has attempted incursions from the Pakistan-Afghan border in the Chitral region. On the other front, Afghan forces have made efforts to establish a post in a restricted area near the Torkham border.

It's worth noting that in a failed border attack in June, several members of the TTP, along with several members of the Afghan Taliban and Commander Sibghatullah Takal, were Eliminated.

This incident serves as compelling evidence that the TTP operates under the influence of Afghan authorities and enjoys the support of the Afghan Taliban.

The Afghan Taliban must undertake operations against the TTP to prevent Afghan soil from being used against Pakistan.

Failure to do so may compel Pakistan to take drastic measures in self-defense.

The head of the Pakistan army has explicitly stated that if the Afghan government does not target TTP hideouts, Pakistan will be compelled to take stringent actions.
