Sports Fans!

This was a great trip, but even when you don't catch fish, it's still a great trip.

The heat was tough. Water was hot too. Made the fish really sluggish. Threw the Curado BFS reel from @ShimanoNorthAmericaFishing with a @TempleForkOutfitters lightweight rod and tied on the TRD TicklerZ from @ZManFishingProducts. This was THE recipe out there.

Also really loving going straight @fishseaguar fluorocarbon from spool to lure. I've noticed fewer breakoffs, specifically due to not having that leader to line connection knot. Hell, I still lose lots of gear but that's due to the oyster bars and not that pesky intermediate knot.

Sure is pretty out there in the marsh. The marsh is kinda like a church to me. The beauty of this place has nothing that is it's superior. I like being quiet and reflective out there. You can ramble on all you want about Michelangelo's Sistine Chapel and such, but God made the marsh and formed it over millennia. It's perfect......so long as humans don't screw it up.

You'd find it pretty amazing what you can see, smell and hear out there if you just be still, open your eyes and shut your damn mouth. There's all this music of the birds, the wind, the water, the marine life. It settles me and centers me. I don't need anything else.....except my Li-Li and my children of course. Catching a fish is just the cherry on top of the ice cream sundae and not a necessity. Try it sometime, but do it somewhere else, I like to be alone out there.

Well, enough preaching outta me. Headed back soon.

Love you all and I mean it. See you out on the water.

Captain T out for now!
