Asslamoalaikum, اسلام علیکم to everybody, our channel is for about ISLAMIC HISTORY and in this video we will explain you about.The Quran elucidates the misconception related to the role of two Angels, Harut and Marut, who are known to be behind bringing dark magic to this world. Allah (SWT) says in the Quran, (Surah Baqarah: 102-103)

“They followed what the Shayatin (devils) gave out (falsely of the magic) in the lifetime of Suleiman (Solomon). Suleiman did not disbelieve, but the Shayatin (devils) disbelieved, teaching men magic and such things that came down at Babylon to the two Angels, Harut and Marut, but neither of these two (Angels) taught anyone (such things) till they had said, “We are only for trial, so disbelieve not (by learning this magic from us).” And from these (Angels) people learn that by which they cause separation between man and his wife, but they could not thus harm anyone except by Allah’s Leave. And they learn that which harms them and profits them not. And indeed they knew that the buyers of it (magic) would have no share in the Hereafter. And how bad indeed was that for which they sold their own selves, if they but knew. And if they had believed, and guarded themselves from evil and kept their duty to Allah, far better would have been the reward from their Lord, if they but knew!”

In these verses, Allah (SWT) refuted the false claims raised by the Children of Israel who said that Gabriel and Michael brought magic down to the two Angels Harut and Marut. They also falsely stated that Prophet Suleiman (AS) was nothing but a sorcerer or idolater who was conveyed by the wind.
How did the news of Prophet Suleiman (AS) being a sorcerer spread amongst the people?

Previously, the demons used to ascend towards Paradise to decipher the discussions between the angels in regards to what will happen on Earth pertaining to matters that were veiled by Allah (SWT).

They would disseminate the news to the soothsayers and the soothsayers would then pass on the news to the general population, who took the information to be relevant, valid and authentic. These tactics were used by the devils to lure in the soothsayers, and they soon began to manipulate the dialogues in an attempt to mislead the masses.

The general population recorded these so called ‘truths’ in a few books and before long, the Children of Israel started to believe that the Jinn’s know matters of the Unseen and lost faith in the fact that only Allah (SWT) holds the supreme power of what lies in the “Batin”(hidden).

Fortunately, when Prophet Suleiman (AS) was sent as a Prophet, he summoned all these books and buried them under his authority. Any devil that desired access to the vault was thus burnt.

So stern was his aversion towards this dark resource that Prophet Suleiman (AS) asserted, `I will not hear of anyone who says that the demons know the Unseen, but I will rather cut off his head.’

When Prophet Suleiman (AS) passed away and the knowledgeable researchers and scholars who knew about the reality about Prophet Suleiman also died, another era was born. The devil disguised himself as a human and whispered to some of the Children of Israel, `Should I lead you to a fortune that you will never have the capacity to go through?’

Lust tainted their eyes & they (the Children of Israel) said. ‘Yes.’

He (the devil) stated, `Dig under this throne,’ as he escorted them to the throne of the Prophet Suleiman (AS).

Mufti Muhammad Shafi, was a South Asian Sunni Islamic scholar of the Deobandi school of Islamic thought. A Hanafi jurist and mufti, he was also an authority on shari’ah, hadith, tafsir (Qur’anic exegesis), and tasawwuf (Sufism). Born in Deoband, British India, he graduated in 1917 from Darul Uloom Deoband, where he later taught hadith and held the post of Chief Mufti. He resigned from the school in 1943 to devote his time to the Pakistan Movement. After the independence he moved to Pakistan, where he established Darul Uloom Karachi in 1951. Of his written works, his best-known is Ma’ariful Qur’an, a tafsir of the Qur’an.
