Edmonton is a dynamic city that’s constantly transforming. But they're a re a few things that have withstood the test of time and they’re set to stay around
Both the Alberta Legislature and the Highlevel Bridge are well over 100 years old.
Back in the early 20th century, streetcars were frequenting the bridge, but they disappeared in the late 1940’s.
Then in 1997 street car service across the Highlevel Bridge resumed during the summer months. It was made possible by the volunteers of the Edmonton Radial Railway Society, who restored the streetcars and brought them back to life.
We went for a ride across the bridge and I recorded it on my phone.
Enjoy the ride!
