Priest blew the whistle on lavender mafia.

On Feb. 15, 2004, Fr. John Minkler was found face down on the floor of his kitchen in Watervliet, NY. It was two days after a tense meeting with Bishop Howard Hubbard, where they discussed a damning report authored by Minkler exposing corruption in the Albany diocese. While the coroner claimed suicide, too many questions remain about his abrupt death to make that conclusion certain.
