A Decade of Discovery for Suomi-NPP

Since its launch on Oct. 28, 2011, the remarkable instruments on the Suomi-NPP satellite have captured a wealth of valuable data and beautiful images of our home planet. Suomi-NPP is the first of a series of polar-orbiting weather satellites known as the Joint Polar Satellite System, a mission to provide valuable weather and environmental data into the 2030s.
