Falcon Enterprises LLC, a California cannabis company, has filed a lawsuit against three property owners, namely 8210 S. Western Ave 26 LLC, Mama Moti LLC, and YHK 18 LLC, alleging that it paid over $460,000 for a production rental space that did not meet building code standards. The lawsuit was filed in the Los Angeles County Superior Court, and Falcon Enterprises claims that the property it leased in Adelanto had buildings that were constructed without the necessary permits or approvals.

According to Falcon Enterprises, the lease agreement clearly stated that the property was intended for cannabis production and distribution, including four buildings for cultivation purposes. The company alleges that it would not have signed the lease, paid the security deposit, or incurred these expenses if it had known that the property did not comply with applicable building codes, laws, and regulations.

This legal dispute highlights the importance of due diligence in real estate transactions, particularly in highly regulated industries like cannabis production, where compliance with local and state regulations is crucial. It remains to be seen how the court will rule on this matter and whether Falcon Enterprises will be able to recover the funds it claims to have paid for the faulty rental space.
