From dolphin trainer to woodfire "Pizza King"

Dave Perri has been a dolphin trainer, and a salesman and then one day he built a brick pizza oven in his backyard. He loved making pizzas for his family and neighbors. Then his neighbor said "hey Dave, why don't you go home and put your oven on wheels." And that's just what Dave did. Seven years later Dave and Diana Perri's Pizza Amore oven on wheels can be found all over Western New York. We caught up with them recently at the Italian Festival where they were showing off their award for "Best Pizza" at this years festival. Dave says the secret to their success is that the oven uses only wood and with temperatures reaching 600 plus degrees, pizza come popping out of the oven, cooked to perfection in just a few minutes. Dave says Diana prefers to work behind the scenes adding "she does everything, she's the pulse of the operation, I just wave my hands and yell at everybody."
