The leader needs to be needed. Second is the fear they will work themselves out of a job and accidentally replace themselves. Finally, among the most common reasons leaders do not invest in the future leadership roles of those in their charge is the fear that too many leaders and no producers will mean the overall production will suffer. All of these are possible but need not be if you are a great leader. Great leaders empower others.” J Loren Norris
