Court decides Alabama Republicans can’t be trusted to draw congressional maps

After the Supreme Court ruled the Alabama congressional maps violated the Voting Rights Act, the Republicans made a subpar attempt at redrawing the maps. Now, a federal appeals court has handed over the responsibility to a special master to ensure the maps will no longer discriminate against Alabama’s Black voters.
