Ep #588 Of The Clay Edwards Show On 103.9 WYAB (09/05/23)

1. We lost a legendary figure in the Jackson area over the weekend, former City Of Jackson City Commissioner Doug "Coach" Shanks lost his battle with cancer over the weekend. I spend the first segment of the show discussing his importance to my life and career.

2. Deion Sanders got a massive win in his first game as the head coach of the Colorado Buffalo's over TCU this weekend, but instead of making it about the kids and him proving the doubters wrong he made it about his blackness. We get into a in-depth conversation w/ caller John about this topic and the topic of black head coaches in big time college football.

3. The got it's newest super hero / viral sensation over the weekend as the #RomperStomper incident at a Morgan Wallen concert in Pittsburg went viral. It started out as a run of the mill porta potty brawl at a country concert till they messed with the wrong girls momma (aka Romper Stomper). She commenced to stomping mudholes and walking them dry like Stone Cold Steve Austin in the 1990's.

4. I watched the docu-series "Pain Killers" on Netflix over the weekend and thought I'd give my thoughts on the Oxycotin epidemic and it's fallout. I ask the question, who's really at fault?

5. I address the reason I'm no longer at Ellis Autoplex and make an announcement that I'll now be pursuing this radio career fulltime if I can get enough consistent sponsors.
