The head coach of Spain’s Women’s World Cup-winning side, Jorge Vilda, has been sacked as the Luis Rubiales kiss scandal continues.
Spain’s win was overshadowed by their football federation president Rubiales kissing forward Jenni Hermoso after the final, which she said was not consensual, and Rubiales’s refusal to resign led to most of Vilda’s coaching staff resigning and 81 players refusing to play.
